Parallel Perfusion-SUBs and Cronus Tower

Customizable setup of CellMembra TFF with Cronus Tower

For applications involving mammalian cell retention for expressing mAbs - low RPM and preferably no bursting aeration bubbles is mandatory. The cell lines are fragile and in a perfusion setup benefit from.

  • Eliminate HFF fouling– freedom to select broth velocities flushing out debris from inside the lumen regularly
  • Reduced shear force– reduce the use of hoses and fittings

We introduce CellMembra with the customized SepraPor HFF integrated with the Clio SUP integrated next to the SUB. The HFF being a part of the Clio SUP reduce the hose connections even with no couplings, etc.

The Clio diaphragm Single-Use-Pump is LASER guided and its unique performance is programmed selectively into the Clotho™ drive unit. The “CellMembra-3-MST” perfusion bioreactor operating in TFF mode is available from sister company PerfuseCell™.

The above example is the 3 liter CellMembra designed for and integrating the Clio™ SUP equipped with the SepraPor® HFF. Cronus Tower takes care of all: agitation, aeration, pH, DO, and media supply, TFF harvest and the HFF cleaning process and hereby protects the HFF. The pressurized air and vacuum required for Clotho is delivered by dual Alagonia and one Sarpedon. The Cronus Tower unit operate fully controlled by each unit’s PLC and Lucullus above. The PC shown is running Linux-8 with Lucullus on top and thus not Windows.

Cronus Tower selectively assembled of units:

  1. Carnus MFC – Mass-Flow-Controller
  2. Sipylus – ARC SUS unit
  3. Harmonia – thermal control electrical
  4. Andromeda – input unit – balancer, pressure, level
  5. Enyo – triple channel peristaltic pump unit
  6. Otrera - dual channel peristaltic pump unit
  7. Clotho – Clio SUP laser guide
  8. Cilix B2 – servo motor drive unit
  9. Sarpedon - reservoir
  10. Alagonia-8 pump as needed: one for vacuum - one for pressurized air
  11. Switch – LAN connections
  12. PC - Lenovo ThinkCenter with Linix-8 – for Lucullus
